Aruba may be best known for its beautiful Caribbean beaches and perfect weather, but you can explore our happy island and also join any of the events around the island. Aruba has a calendar packed with traditional celebrations as well as international festivals, cultural happenings and athletic events. - Aruba’s Annual Carnival Celebration

This is the biggest party of the year, a month-long celebration starting late January into February/March with spectacular parades, costumes and music. It is a must see at least once during your stay in Aruba. Have a look at the updated schedule of events during Aruba’s Annual Carnival.

- Aruba Soul Beach Music Festival

A three-day Musical Event held during Memorial Day weekend in May each year. Well known acts perform. This event was voted one of the “Top Five Caribbean Celebrations by USA TODAY”. For additional information and tickets visit their website.

- Aruba Summer Music Festival

One of the best Caribbean music events is the Aruba Summer Music Festival, featuring award winning Latin Grammy artists and Aruba's best bands! We have seen Marc Anthony, Carlos Vives, Maluma, Juan Luis Guerra, Ozuna among others. This event is held last weekend of June. Check this year’s program

- Aruba Hi-Winds

This is the biggest event on the island for windsurfing and kite surfing fans. Aruba’s constant trade winds provide the best conditions and the perfect spot for this five-day event of non-stop entertainment, beach parties, competitions and activities. If you are kite surfer or windsurfer, you must visit Aruba during this week in July and be part of this competition. For additional information visit their website.

- Aruba Regatta

A spectacular competitive Sailing Event organized each year between July and August for Yachts, Catamarans, Sunfish Sailboats, and Windsurfers. - The Aruba Symphony Festival and Academy

In July, 10 intensive days of music with guest artists and students from more than 15 countries give the happy island an unforgettable experience with full house attendance concerts, workshops, and classes led by celebrated musicians from all over the world. Don’t miss it, this year from July 16th on different venues: Casa di Cultura, Ritz Carlton, Paseo Herencia and Marriott Hotel. Check their website for details.

- Annual Aruba International Pro-Am Golf Tournament

An annual tournament for the golf fanatics during the month of August. Don’t miss the opportunity to participate in a two-day, 36-hole tournament. This tournament takes place at the Tierra del Sol Golf course, a beautiful terrain at the rustic North coast of the island. For more information and registration check their website.

- Eat Local Aruba Restaurant Month

This month-long event throughout October highlights authentic Aruban cuisine. The restaurants’ prix-fixe meals allow visitors to enjoy local cuisine for a very reasonable price, with lunches costing $15 and dinners $30 - $40. More than 65 restaurants sign up for this culinary event and incorporate authentic local dishes in their menu.

- Aruba Art Fair

Downtown San Nicolas is where is held in September. Aruba Art Fair is a yearly art festival where international and local artists create street art and some local handcraft and food is sold. This event is nice for our tourist to visit in order to look for culture, heritage and fine arts.

- Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival

Annual festival lineup of international and local Jazz, Latin, Soul and Funk musicians at Renaissance Market Place. This event takes place in September each year with various musical stages, a great atmosphere, food stands and bars. For more information and ticket purchase visit their website.

- Aruba International Beach Tennis Tournament

This is the premier beach tennis tournament in the Caribbean, growing in popularity each year, hosting international competitors, pros and amateurs alike. A week of exciting competitions, a festive ambience with music and events. Visit their website for information and registration.

  • Aruba Experience Café. Good coffee and pastries at a beautiful Cunucu House in downtown Oranjestad
  • SANTOS. Next to the Alhambra Casino – For coffee, breakfast and a variety of bagels.
  • Hosteria Da Vittorio in our opinion the No. 1 Italian in town.
  • Wilhelmina Restaurant. Our favorite main course the Indonesian Roasted Pork and the Short Rib Ravioli as appetizer.
  • Like the pizza and sangria at Amore Mio and next door at Gelatissimo great Italian ice cream for desert.
  • Screaming Eagle: Try the pork belly; superb.
  • Así es mi Perú: Great ceviche and causas.
  • For brunch if hungry we like La Vista at The Marriott.
  • An asai bowl or fruit smoothie for a healthy start at Eduardo’s Shack.
